Update your current address so you can participate in an important national vote!
This Fall, there will be a referendum ending on November 29, open to UAW members across the country, in which we will vote by mail on whether to continue the current system of electing our national union leadership, by electing delegates from our union who then vote on our behalf, or transition to a system in which we vote on our National UAW leadership directly.
You can read the latest news from the Elections Monitor here. In addition, tonight 10/07 at 6pm, there is a referendum Forum Webcast sponsored by the Monitor over zoom which will be broadcast over YouTube in real time, recorded and posted on this website, so you can watch at your convenience.
This is an important decision for all UAW members, as national leadership plays a major role in determining the priorities and allocation of resources in our organization, including and we encourage you to educate yourself on the topic and participate when the referendum takes place.
The referendum will be conducted by mail-in ballot so please make sure you update your mailing addresses!
