It will be our first membership meeting as an amalgamated local! Joining postdoctoral researchers at both Columbia and Mt. Sinai.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>\ud83d\udce3 <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/eHdtSD2xGkZPNpFn8\"><strong>RSVP for the Membership Meeting of March 21st, Thursday 6:30 pm <\/strong><\/a><strong>\ud83d\udce3<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As the primary agenda item, the Bylaws Committee will present recommendations for new bylaws for our Local Union as they relate to new structures for our joint governance between Columbia and Mt. Sinai postdoctoral workers. We will also answer questions and open discussion with members. The Bylaws will provide the democratic governance structure for our amalgamated union and establish the rights of union members in that structure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>working draft<\/strong> of our bylaws is now available <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1cG16hgQC8fdELt6rAkPf9CtWqvRBHIHcL-tTrjAwUgU\/edit?usp=sharing\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/5As63PkcLvwmahQE9\"><strong>The Bylaws Committee wants you, members, to provide additional feedback through this online form for the next 6 days<\/strong><\/a><strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Based on this feedback, the Bylaws Committee will develop a final draft.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>final draft will be presented and discussed<\/strong> at the membership meeting of <strong>March 21st.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then, we will have a <strong>second membership meeting on April 4th to vote<\/strong> on whether to approve the bylaws.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>\ud83d\udce3 <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/eHdtSD2xGkZPNpFn8\"><strong>RSVP for the Membership Meeting of March 21st, Thursday 6:30 pm <\/strong><\/a><strong>\ud83d\udce3<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In solidarity,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local 4100 Executive Board &amp; Bylaws Committee<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/columbiapostdocunion.org\/contact-us\/cpw-uaw-workplace-issue-form\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HAVE AN ISSUE?
