However, we would like to get more people to fill them in order to have statistics on the majority of the people in our unit and not just a small part. For that reason, your help is crucial for our upcoming campaign to get more bargaining surveys filled. So please share them with your coworkers and let\u2019s set our bargaining goals all together.<\/p>\n<p>At this meeting, we will be discussing the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Union Management Committee meeting<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 where we have discussed issues with appointments\/reappointment delays, difficulties for postdocs\/ARSs to apply for grants as PIs, discrimination on access to benefits for fellows\u2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contract Topics Working Groups<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 on Fellows, Intellectual Property\/Authorship, protections against bullying\u2026 Sign up if you are interested!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organizing Training<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Organizing Committee Events<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Report from the rally against Abortion Rights<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In addition, we will have our monthly Finances and Executive Board reports and discuss some important steps in preparation for our next contract campaign.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Let us know any suggestions about topics you&#8217;d like to discuss at <a href=\"mailto:postdocunion@uaw4100.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">postdocunion@uaw4100.org<\/a>!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a reminder, to conduct discussions and votes in an orderly manner at our membership meetings, we follow the parliamentary procedure used in most Local Unions and community organization meetings outlined in Robert\u2019s Rules of Order. <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/columbiapostdocunion.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Cheat-Sheet-of-Roberts-Rules-of-Order.pdf\">You can find a cheat sheet with the most commonly used rules here<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. If you have any questions about how to use these rules during the meeting, always feel free to ask.
