{"id":7193,"date":"2023-10-01T21:01:58","date_gmt":"2023-10-02T01:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/columbiapostdocunion.org\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=7193"},"modified":"2023-10-26T16:02:55","modified_gmt":"2023-10-26T20:02:55","slug":"if-we-strike-would-we-have-support-from-the-broader-community","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/columbiapostdocunion.org\/faq\/if-we-strike-would-we-have-support-from-the-broader-community\/","title":{"rendered":"If we strike, would we have support from the broader community?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yes, and support is growing!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Columbia chapter of the <strong>American Association of University Professors (AAUP)<\/strong> has written<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/columbiapostdocunion.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/AAUP-Letter-in-support-of-CPW-UAW.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"> this statement to the Provost supporting our negotiations<\/a>. <strong>Faculty at Columbia<\/strong> are <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/10eXkav6l6iKbpIuIAvPmwrF-IYDC_to1mnmshpSqUjY\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">signing in to this letter as well<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also got the support from the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/columbiapostdocunion.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Resolution-Columbia-Mt.-Sinai-Adopted-10.03.23.docx.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/columbiapostdocunion.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Resolution-Columbia-Mt.-Sinai-Adopted-10.03.23.docx.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">NYC Central Labor Council<\/a> <\/strong>and are reaching out to<strong> other allies in the labor movement<\/strong> to support our strike.
